Intermediate Phase

Holistic Development for Growing Minds

Intermediate Phase Students
Grades 4-6

Developing Identity & Skills

The Intermediate Phase (10-12 years old) addresses grades 4 to 6. Enormous emphasis is placed on the holistic development of the child—social, emotional, intellectual, and physical.

These young minds are curious to explore their community and world. Through this process, they begin to form their own unique identities, opinions, and world views. We provide the encouragement, teaching, and discipline needed to guide this development.

Navigating the Transition

The transition from Foundation Phase can be challenging. We focus heavily on developing organisational skills, time-management, and self-discipline. Ensuring a positive self-image is nurtured is an essential learning outcome at this stage.

Key Focus Areas

  • Organizational Skills: Time management and self-discipline become increasingly important.
  • Communication: Developing clear expression and listening skills.
  • Moral Values: Morals and values are emphasized and intentionally taught.
